g4m3 0n: Presenting Yourself Publicly in the 21st Century provides students with a whimsical interactive experience with speech concepts essential to speech development and presentation. Capitalizing on the mindset of the gaming culture, g4m3 0n takes the traditional linear approach to learning new concepts and transforms it into a tree of discovery. Designed as a quest manual with over 150 exercise opportunities to gain experience points (XP), g4m3 0n offers students the chance to discover new ideas while setting personal learning goals and achieving them as they learn within the Land of the River Blue. Gone are the boring, talking slideshows in the classroom now replaced by faculty (GameMaster) guidance through whimsical classroom adventures to highlight specific concepts of public speaking. Learning within the Land of the River Blue (class), guided by their g4m3 0n quest manual, provides students with experiences that are unpredictable, collaborative, and competitive.
