At Great River Learning, we work one-on-one with instructors to develop engaging and relevant educational products for their students.

If you’re a Great River author- or interested in becoming one- take a moment and skim through this brief FAQ; it may just have the answer you’re looking for!

Q: I would like to develop an online publication with GRL. Whom do I contact?

Q: I would like to use an existing GRL publication- what is the adoption process?

Familiar with a Great River Learning title and ready to adopt for your class? Contact websupport@greatriverlearning.com who will connect you with the representative of the title.

Q: What are the system requirements to view the online publication? What browser(s) should I use?

Your WebCOM publication is compatible with Internet Explorer 8.0 +, Firefox 3.6 +, Safari 4.0 +, and Chrome 9.0 +. JavaScript must also be enabled in your browser. Some online publications may require additional free browser plug-ins (e.g., Flash, Adobe Acrobat). You can test and update your plugins via the link at the bottom of every WebCOM page.

Q: I forgot my password to my publication, what do I do?

Go to www.grtep.com and click on the ‘Forgot Password’ link beneath the password prompt box. Your password will be reset and sent to the email account associated with your username.

Q: If I am teaching multiple sections of the course, how do I access each section?

When you click the ‘view’ icon next to the publication name on the admin side, you will be prompted to choose which section you want to view. If you need to ‘manage’ a section, you will need to click the ‘wrench’ icon next to the publication and then the ‘wrench’ icon next to the section you want to manage.

Q: Who do I contact with questions regarding my publication?

For information on updating or enhancing your publication, contact your web project editor directly. If they cannot be reached or if you have an immediate inquiry, our dedicated Web Support team is available by phone or email.

Q: How do I get in touch with websupport? What is websupport/who am I talking to?

The Web Project Editors who build and develop your publication are the foundation of our dedicated Web Support team. We recommend you fill out the web support form which is linked at the bottom of the log in page at www.grtep.com and at the bottom of every page within the online publication. You can also email your question to websupport@greatrivertech.net; you can expect a response within 24 hours Monday through Friday. When sending an email to websupport, please include specific details of what you were doing when you had the problem. If you are receiving an error message, please provide a screen shot of the error. Make sure to include the name of the publication that you are working with.
