This publication offers an alternative to the market of interpersonal Communication text books. Many books within this discipline are written from a social science perspective. This book offers an alternative stressing the power of spoken word. This book is meant to be a supplement to the students reading of Viktor E. Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning. The text offers an exegesis of the native American writer Diane Glancy's essay, "Speaking the Corn Into Being." The book follows the structure of Glancy's essay line-for-line and points out for the student the very different approach to language as offered by the Native American. The text offers a communication theory of logostherapy or attending to the words. After each chapter, the student is asked to engage with content to help reinforce what was read.
