Matthew Cain, PhD, RSCC, PN1 is a Professor of Exercise Science at San Diego Miramar College. He also serves as the Director of Strength and Conditioning for the Athletic Department, while overseeing the personal training and yoga programs. Previously, he has served in similar roles at CSU Dominguez Hills, California Baptist University, and El Camino College. He’s a Register Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). His PhD in Health and Human Performance was awarded from Concordia University, where he examined various forms of resistance to potentiate vertical jump performance. He is also the CEO and Founder of Health and Human Movement Inc. He lives in San Diego, CA with his fiancé and their goldendoodle (Sandy Rae).
Mark Coziahr received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of San Diego and a Master of Arts in Teaching from National University. Mark also is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength andnd Conditioning Association (NSCA) and is a member of the National High School Strength Coaches Association. He began teaching at the high school level in 1999 and has taught several courses in both science and physical education. Mark has been a high school coach for over two decades and currently serves as a high school athletic director as well. Mark and his wife, Danielle, enjoy hiking and the outdoors with their three children.
Trevor Gillum, PhD, FACSM is a Professor of Kinesiology and Program Director of Exercise Science at California Baptist University. He’s a fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine and a certified Exercise Physiologist. His PhD was awarded from the University of New Mexico where he examined the cellular underpinnings of heat acclimation. He lives in Riverside, CA with his wife and three kids and never misses an Oklahoma Sooners football game.
Dr. Kristin Mauldin is an Associate Professor and the Director of the MS Sport and Performance Psychology program at California Baptist University. She obtained her PhD at Miami University and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, San Diego. She currently oversees student research in sport and performance psychology with a particular interest in understanding the cognitive and neural substrates of flow states in performance populations. Dr. Mauldin enjoys hiking and running in the San Jacinto mountains where she lives with her three kids.
Cordero Roche, PhD, CSCS is a sports science associate with the New York Mets. Before his time with the New York Mets, he has spent time as a strength and conditioning coach for the United States Army and in college at the Division 1 level. His PhD—Interdisciplinary Health Science (Biomechanics) was awarded from UNLV and he also has a Master of Science in Exercise Science. He’s a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He is happy to share any knowledge that he has gained through his experiences with the hopes of leaving an impact on the next generation in our industry.
Stephanie Wallace holds a Master of Science in Kinesiology: Exercise Science and is certified as a Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist through American College of Sports Medicine. She is an experienced Exercise Physiologist and Health Coach and has worked for prominent hospitals and healthcare organizations such as Loma Linda University Medical Center, United Healthcare and weight management startup companies. She has been in the health and fitness industry for over 14 years, specializing in chronic disease management, community health, and fitness program design. Stephanie currently serves her community as a Health Coach and Personal Health Strategist.
