About the Author
B. Scott Burton
B. Scott Burton is a full time faculty member at the College of Southern Nevada (CSN). He also has teaching experience at Drury University, Western New Mexico University, and Missouri State University. Scott held a variety of assignments in 10 locations across the United States during a 25-year federal law enforcement combined career with the Federal Bureau of Prisons and U.S. Probation & Pretrial Services. Previously, he was a member of the State of New Mexico’s Adult Parole Board and he has prior experience in the private prison industry as a Facility Director and Warden. Scott holds a B.A. from William Jewell College and an M.S. from the University of Central Missouri.
